Dalat festival: helicopters release roses on visitors
Two helicopters sporting Dalat Flower Festival logos will release roses onto visitors at 5pm on Dec.10, 2005
This performance will be repeated on Dec. 11, with a total of 1,000 roses released from the sky, each attached to a postcard welcoming visitors.
Tran Canh Dao, deputy director of Lam Dong Culture and Information Department, said the helicopters will be rented from Vietnam Flying Service Company, at a cost of US$1,800 per hour. They will fly from Camly Airport to the city centre to release the roses.
On the occasion of the festival, Fiditourist will open 4-day-3-night tours to Dalat, taking visitors to Pong-Gua Waterfall, Dalat at night, Thuy Ta Café shop, Ho Xuan Huong Lake, and a special cinema programme at 3/4 Cinema.
Tourists will also visit Lat Village, Langbiang Mountain, to conquer the mountain, and meet and enjoy food in Lat village. Truc Lam Buddhist Pagoda, Tuyen Lam Lake, Bao Dai King’s palace, and DoMain-DeMaria Church are also included as part of the programme. |
